My project for National Novel Writing Month

The people of Grandel Isle think that for the first time they are going to live their lives without a looming threat of a horror being unleashed. They are wrong. The old enemy has been defeated, but a new enemy is growing. The fourteen dead and escaping wait in shadows, watching a new leader becoming. This one will do far more damage just by existing. Three of the fourteen know that this new threat will have to flee when discovered, and they have their eyes set on Earth.
