I live tucked deep in the forested mountains of Saltville, Virginia, where bluebirds raise their young and cedar-scented winds whisper through pine. Watching their quiet rituals and listening to their songs is part of my daily breath. Rescued paws pad beside me as I write, reminding me that healing has its own kind of magic. I’ve spent years helping others find a home and heart for dogs—and in return, they’ve taught me what it means to fight for love and kindness in a world that needs both.

My soul’s compass points to National Parks. I walk there often, marveling at the wild grace of rivers, stone, and silence. I write epic fantasy that speaks to sacrifice, legacy, and the emotional consequences of power, always with nature as a living presence in the story. My daughter, who was and remains both muse and collaborator in this world I continue to create.
